Characterization of Exhaust CO, HC and NOx Emissions from Light-Duty Vehicles under Real Driving Conditions

چکیده
On-road exhaust emissions from light-duty vehicles are greatly influenced by driving conditions. In this study, two passenger cars (LDPCs) and three diesel trucks (LDDTs) were tested to investigate the on-road emission factors (EFs) with a portable measurement system. Emission characteristics of carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC) nitrogen oxides (NOx) emitted at different speeds, accelerations vehicle specific power (VSP) analyzed. The results demonstrated that road conditions have significant impacts on regulated gaseous emissions. CO, NOx, HC urban roads increased 1.1–1.5, 1.2–1.4, 1.9–2.6 times compared those suburban highway roads, respectively. There was rough positive relationship between transient rates while EFs decreased significantly speed decrease when ? 20 km/h. NOx tended increase then as acceleration peak occurred 0 m/s2 without considering idling For low changed gently VSP < 0, gradually > 0. lower had no obvious change However, positively correlated VSP,

Exhaust emissions from light- and heavy-duty vehicles: chemical composition, impact of exhaust after treatment, and fuel parameters.
This paper presents results from the characterization of vehicle exhaust that were obtained primarily within the Swedish Urban Air Project, "Tätortsprojektet." Exhaust emissions from both gasoline- and diesel-fueled vehicles have been investigated with respect to regulated pollutants (carbon monoxide [CO], hydrocarbon [HC], nitrogen oxides [NOx], and particulate), unregulated pollutants, and in...
متن کاملA Comparison of Light-duty Vehicle Emissions over Different Test Cycles and in Real Driving Conditions
The European Commission is examining test procedures to ensure that light-duty vehicle emissions are well controlled both in real use and over the legislative test cycle. At the same time, the UN Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE) has developed a Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) that is expected to be used for Type Approval in the EU in the future. To identify...
متن کاملTrends in Exhaust Emissions from In - Use California Light - Duty Vehicles , 1994 - 2001 Andrew
Major efforts to control motor vehicle emissions have been made in recent years, both through improved emission control technologies and through gasoline reformulation. Our assessment of the impacts of these efforts was conducted in the San Francisco Bay Area, in lanes of a highway tunnel where heavy-duty vehicles are not allowed. This study focuses on the afternoon rush hour, during which over...
متن کاملPCDD/F emissions from light-duty diesel vehicles operated under highway conditions and a diesel-engine based power generator.
PCDD/F emissions from three light-duty diesel vehicles--two vans and a passenger car--have been measured in on-road conditions. We propose a new methodology for small vehicles: a sample of exhaust gas is collected by means of equipment based on United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) method 23 A for stationary stack emissions. The concentrations of O2, CO, CO2, NO, NO2 and SO2 ...
متن کاملToxicological Assessment of Particulate Emissions from the Exhaust of Old and New Model Heavy- and Light-Duty Vehicles
The primary objective of this project is to develop an improved understanding of the factors affecting the toxicology of particulate exhaust emissions. Diesel particulate matter is a known carcinogen, and particulate exhaust emissions from both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles are toxic. Particulate matter emissions from three light-duty vehicles in five different configurations [a Honda Acco...
